A request to TV execs...
...Stop canceling decent television shows so that you can put on some crap reality show that no one really wants to see.
Seriously. Stop.
Today I'm pointing my finger at NBC.
First you put Studio 60 on "hiatus". A hiatus that it may never come back from. You hyped up the show, got myself and others interested, then pulled it out from under my eyes. The problem with the ratings could be that you put it on after Heroes and were hoping for some carry-over. Sadly, the shows are so dissimilar that there was no way that you were going to retain nearly enough viewers. One's targeted toward the Spider-man set and the other toward people that enjoyed the West Wing. There is some cross-over(example: me), but what were they thinking?
The only good thing that came from the hiatus was The Black Donnellys. The show was gritty, violent, and turning into the new Sopranos for me. Guess what? It's been pulled too. Maybe it was too bloody for network tv? If that's the case, then why even purchase the show in the first place? Hopefully this show can get picked up by another network? The aforementioned "Sopranos" is ending in a couple of months. This could be a good filler for HBO. Obvious wishful thinking. It'll never happen. Too bad, I wanted to see more Jenny Reilly and I don't like watching Dashboard Confessional videos.
Do you know what they're replacing two quality shows with? The Real Wedding Crashers! It's a show based on the hit movie, except not. In this wonderful show the bride and the groom team up to pull one over on their wedding guests. The family gets punk'd. Hilarity ensues. Good stuff.
Die NBC, Die!(which is german for "The NBC, the!")
Add on: CBS might be thinking of canceling How I Met Your Mother. Supposedly some higher ups at "the eye" don't find the humor in HIMYM. I don't see how that could be possible(see: Robin Sparkles). I've just recently found this show, and love it. One of the best comedies on tv. It's legendary.
