What I Love: Dateline: To Catch a Predator

I love watching Dateline, but only when they're catching predators.

It's in my top 10 favorite shows on tv. I think that the funniest/saddest thing that comes up regularly in the show, is that half of the predators mention that they've seen the Dateline show and want to make sure that it's not a setup.

Here's a tip for you predators...DON'T HIT UP UNDERAGE GIRLS!

Really simple.

Actually, keep it up. I don't want them to cancel this segment.

I also wonder how all of these idiots plead "not guilty"? There's a stack of chat-logs(clogs?) and that's obviously you holding your schlong in those pictures. Just fess up and serve your pervy time.

Hey look, more Youtube:

"mightyboi" indeed.

Best line, "Why did you send me that dick picture?"

Also, anything that "mightyboi" says.

What I Hate: The Oscars

The Oscars are over 4 hours long and boring as the local senior center's performance of "A Streetcar Named Desire".

It doesn't help that I'm never nominated, which means that I never win.

All because Hollywood blackballed me during the McCarthy era. Passing military secrets to the Soviets doesn't make me a communist. It makes me a traitor. Not the same.

Here's Jennifer Hudson and Beyoncé trying to one up each other during the Oscars. I don't really like this either. I wish that they would just kill each other and get it over with.

Links for Saturday, February 24, 2007

I've been feeling lazy for this past week. This is why there haven't been any updates. And now I'm giving you list of links, which isn't a cop-out posting at all(Do you smell sarcasm?). I just feel that I need to put something new up, but have nothing at all running through my feeble head.

Britney went major crazy again(Shock!):

Here's some pictures of her looking like a skinhead.

And the video from that incident:

Here's the supposed longest picture on the internet. I can't confirm the accuracy of this claim, as I'm not a "Longest Picture Expert".

This is the game that I've been playing while not updating my site. It makes me think that I can pick up cars and jump over buildings. Sadly, I can't.

I bought one of these computers and this monitor. This has also contributed to my lack of updates. Which is odd, because you'd think with a new computer I'd use it.

Windows Vista is cool. It's almost exactly like XP, but prettier. Probably not worth updating to it unless you're planning on getting it with a new computer. No substantial "Wow!" here.

Grindhouse opens on April 6th. It looks fun.

Here's the trailer:

Old people like the Wii. Your gramps fake-bowls better than you.

Lost wasn't all that good this week. Maybe I missed something? Probably the most boring episode ever, but I still have the faith.

Now not only am I out of ideas, but I'm out of links. Click away.

Office workers like to dress like Jane Jetson.

I was browsing through amazon.com's office top sellers and stumbled upon something pretty odd.

You can still see it on the top sellers list, but it'll most likely change soon. So here's a screen-shot(click for full-sized version):

Where is this magical office that has everyone dress up like old Hanna-Barbera cartoons? I want an application.

Remember when Britney Spears was hot?

Those days are long gone, unless you're a huge Kojak fan.

Check the link for more.

Natalie Portman was hot when she shaved her head. That's probably because she was doing it for her craft, while Mrs. Federline is doing it because she's a complete whackadoo. I don't know how much further she can spiral downward. She's already about a mile into the Earth's crust(based on very scientific estimates).

Wednesniscing: It's Valentine's Day

Please don't call it "Valentimes". Whenever I hear someone call it that it grates my brain. It seriously hurts.

I remember when I was a kid and my mom would have to buy those cards to pass out to my classmates(girls only). I'd go through them all and pick out the best ones for the hottest 10 year olds(please don't call Chris Hansen with Dateline NBC, I was 10 too). No matter how awesome the cards were that I was giving out, there was always that rich bastard classmate that had the ones with heart-shaped lollipops, glow in the dark lettering, and professional calligraphy. That bastard always showed me up.

I'm not sure the routines that your schools had for Valentine's, but we would make paper bag mailboxes with our names on them. We would tape them to the front of our desks. Then everyone would get up and deliver their cards to everyone else in the class. There were always people that you left off of your card list. Some poor kids wouldn't get any, but they were the ones with super-cooties. If you were the only kid to give them a card, you'd instantly have their disease attached to you for life. No one wanted that. Well, except for the teacher. She would always have a valentine for everyone. I'm pretty sure that teachers have to immune to the cooties to get their jobs anyway.

So, this Valentine's Day, I hope that you're not the smelly, glue eating, cooties having, non-valentine getting kid.

Also, praise Hallmark! Amen.

Lost: Hidden Message

In the case that you haven't watched last week's Lost backwards yet(loser), please check out this clip from the "Clockwork Orange" scene.

Possibly a big overall plot clue. Or not. Either way, it's creepy listening to backwards speech.

Lost: It's Back!

I know that I post a lot about Lost, but I don't care. I love this show.

Just remember that it's now on at 10e/9c. They moved it an hour to avoid American Idol, which is probably smart for ABC, but it means that I have to record it, as I'll be at work.

Episode Preview from ABC.com:

Not in Portland
Wednesday, February 7 at 10/9c

LOST is back and all new for 16 straight weeks! In the return episode, Jack is in command as the fate of Ben's life literally rests in his hands.

There's also a new video podcast here.

When I started that little countdown on the sidebar, it felt like today was forever away. Mostly because it was. We've gone through Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, and even Groundhog Day. Three whole months. On the bright side, that's over and we get 16 straight weeks of mystery and maybe a couple of answers. I'm counting on more mystery than answers.

Maybe we'll find out who the eye-patched man is? Will Ben live? What are Juliet's intentions? Will Sawyer and Kate get off of the mini-island? What's up with Desmond's precognitions? Will Locke lead an army to save the captured survivors? Is there any chance that they'll kill off the two new lostaways that were introduced right before the break? How many more of these can I type out? Too many.

Spoiler(kind of) Highlight to read.:

I'm pretty sure that tonight's flashback is Juliet's. It'll be interesting to see how long she's been on the island, and maybe how she got there.

Enjoy the show. I will.

Lost: New Theme Song

Click the white space below if you do not see the video.

Personally, I'm happy with the current one. I'm glad that this show came out in the 2000s and not the 1980s, when this type of theme song was common place. Can you imagine seeing Kate, Jack, and crew in neon shirts and stonewashed pants?

Only 4 more days!

New Site Design

I got bored today and decided to change things up a bit. I just need some feedback.

Is there anything that looks messed up on your computer? Do the colors hurt your eyes? Spot anything that I may have missed?

Any comments on it would be appreciated(good or bad). If I get bored enough again, I might overhaul the forums next. I'm just not as familiar with the forum's html and CSS as I am with the main site. No one uses them anyway.

And yes, I went gradient crazy.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows

JK Rowling announced today that book 7(final book) in the Harry Potter series would be released on July 21st, 2007!

I know that this is going to sound a bit stupid, but I really like these books(yes, I'm 28).

I've just pre-ordered Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows at amazon.com. Follow the link and you can too.

This is some good birthday news. God, I'm a dork.

I'm older than I was yesterday

Today's my birthday. I'm now a decrepit 28 years old.

I hope that I get a few Transformers and a couple G.I. Joes. Oh, and a baseball themed birthday cake. It could say, "Hope Your Birthday Is A Home Run!" That'd make my day.

Today's also my father's birthday. It's his 50th.

I just ran out(at 4am) to buy him a card, because I'm very thoughtful and a procrastinator. We're having a party for him on Sunday. I bought him one of those funny cards, because I'm not the type to give out those cards with all of the feelings in them. I find them a bit sickening.

Site news: I've disabled the Snap Previews, as they don't seem to go over well around the net. Most people think that they're intrusive and ruin the experience of reading websites. I could go either way on them.

A new "Video of the Moment" is over to your left. ← It's actually pretty scary. Watch at your own risk.

Feel free to join the forums. There's a link at the top of the page ↑ . It's pretty much a clean slate right now. I have a bit of tinkering to do to make them more visually pleasing and individual. The membership, at this moment, includes six spambots, one of the Plan4.tv guys, and myself. It's a party and a half.

Edit: I was just searching the tubes for "birthday cake" and found this. Who gives their 16 year old daughter a Playboy bunny cake? Is that really what you want for her? Here's to Jennifer getting naked in a national magazine when she hits 18! Hopefully she doesn't have to settle for posing for "Crackwhore Monthly".
